4/4/2005 Philadelphia, PA.  It's that time of year again.  Yup, the Philadelphia Film Festival.  The link, which I so brilliantly put on the Links page, is now updated and active for your film-watching pleasure.  The dates are April 7-20th.  I'll be doing the interview there so if you haven't sent in your questions yet, you have one week.  Try and be original.  The interview is going to be boring with questions like "so, have you ever owned a goldfish?"   Dumbest question award (so far) goes to Alfonso.  But don't worry, I wouldn't make fun of YOUR question.  Also, while I'm at it, Townies is gonna be screening in NYC at the end of the month and Callie is supposed to be there.  If you go, pay attention during the credits and you'll get her old stage name and thereby lots more Google dirt.  Woo-hoo.

Oh!  Also, while I'm at it, Callie will be working on James Panetta's film, Saber.  I think she's playing a heartless C.I.A. agent, hacking up bodies and saying unladylike things, which is what I loves to see the most.  Link to the Saber website is forthcoming.

4/2/2005 Newark, Delaware.  The show is called The Hot Spot, it's not for the faint of heart and if you've watched anytime since January (which means that you live in Delaware) you likely already know that she's been doing gag skits, fake commercials and such truck.  Keep watching (and not just 'cause you like to be offended) and you'll see Callie hosting, live.  So go ahead and ask her what's pierced, she just might SHOW you.  Link to the Hot Spot is on the way.

3/19/05 Austin, Texas.  SXSW baby!  I tagged along to the South by Southwest film festival and it was amazing.  We all had a blast (at least, those of us who weren't working), got to see some great new films, met a ton of wicked cool people.  Callie is negotiating to return to Austin to do a guest spot on a television show but I'm not allowed to say more until the deal is final.

2/25/05 Philadelphia, PA.  Lots of new stuff going on.  I think everyone who goes by the site must have emailed about the film back in December, but in case you still haven't heard, it was Track Marks, a Zeiad Hussein film, and it premiered at the Robert X. Golphin showcase a couple of weeks ago.  The showcase was by invite only so I don't feel so badly about not posting that info.  I do, however, feel like a schmuck for not posting this info, but I couldn't decide how to say it, so I'm just going to be blunt.  Brian L. Jones passed away Valentine's Day.  He had been in a coma for a couple of weeks but it was still a shock to all of us.  He was 32.  What I really mean is HE WAS 32 WHAT'S THIS WORLD COMING TO?!??  Brian was Callie's crackhead boyfriend in the aforementioned film, a brilliant writer, an executive producer, a great friend and an all-around amazing and talented guy, as well as the biggest horror film buff I've ever met.

Callie and Brian met last year after he saw one of her films at a festival.  He tracked her down to play the lead in his full length feature film, Love Joey, which was expected to start filming this fall.  No news on what's happening with any of Brian's projects but I'll let you know when I know.  Brian had written a lot of short screenplays and Callie said that he and Robert were working nonstop over Christmas break to finish up a full-length horror screenplay that he was really psyched about.  He is deeply missed.

12/22/04 Philadelphia, PA.  Hellooooo everyone!  Safe holidays and Happy New Year.  First things first.  I called Callie a few days ago and she was on the set for a short film called Track Marks.  I don't have any details beyond that except something about a crack house, but I'll post with more info soon.  And in case anyone was wondering, all she wants for Christmas is world peace and for me to keep the website up to date.  Sucka!  Second, she agreed to do an offical interview with me, so email your questions (don't forget to sign your name).

10/25/04 Philadelphia, PA.  Word on the street is that Hells Furie is wrapping up post-production and is slated for February 2005 release.  Happy Valentine's Day, Halloween-style!

6/1/2004 Credit goes to Aubine for finding this article. Of course she didn't have to look hard as it's on the IkuZo! Studio website. But she did find it first so this is my belated but public acknowledgment that yes, I was beaten by a girl. (Are you happy now?)

"Callie Snow is proof positive that skillful acting talent isn't just in NYC and LA.  A Philadelphia native, Callie got her start in entertainment as a model, appearing in international magazines and television.  After college she returned home determined to take advantage of Philadelphia's overlooked but excellent film resources, acting teachers and brilliant filmmakers.

"But don't dismiss this beauty as just another model/actress.  Independent films are her passion. In an interview last April, Callie said "Even if I had to do a hundred commercials for every really good but low-budget film, I'd do it.  I might only do three films in my life [but I'm] never more alive than when I have brought a realistic, multi-dimensional character to the screen."  And there is no doubt about it, Callie Snow is alive and kicking."

4/20/04 Philadelphia, PA.  The website for Chris Ryon's The 5ive now has a trailer, in case you've missed Callie at the film festival.

3/12/04 Philadelphia, PA.  The Philadelphia Film Festival is next month, the 8th-21st. I don't know if Callie has any movies showing but I'll bet she'll be there.  Maybe then Brad can FINALLY get his cast signed (even though it will be off by then!)
